The first Volunteer Appreciation party took place on Sunday, April 22nd 2012 in the lovely common area building of Rob Roth’s home. Rob started the party by expressing thanks to each of the volunteers who showed up and he acknowledged several people involved in the Deaf Spotlight organization. Although not every volunteer was able to attend the party, we appreciate each and every one of them for having generously donated their time at the Deaf Spotlight events and the Seattle Deaf Film Festival.
As a Volunteer Coordinator, I have been fortunate to meet many people who have made such positive contributions to Deaf Spotlight. It’s been wonderful to have them share the amazingly rich culture of the Deaf community with us through volunteering. We appreciate their positive energy, time and talents!!

At the party, each volunteer was given the opportunity to meet other volunteers, share hearty laughter and eat great food. The food/beverages were provided and set up by Ariele Belo (Board member of Deaf Spotlight). Thanks, Ariele! An additional shout-out goes to Madison Market (as known as the Central Co-op) which donated the one of the delicious main dish for the party: Rising Sun Capellini (Vegetarian and Wheat-free).

You threw a lovely volunteer appreciation party. Have arranged a volunteer party for all my volunteers at one of famous San Francisco venues. Awesome décor was done and special buffet for them was arranged. Everyone loved the party arrangements and gave thanks too.
