What, Disney?

Buddy Elledge

Love The Little Mermaid? What about Snow White? Wizard of Oz? Have you seen the edgy and urban side of Ursula, Snow White, or Dorothy?

If not, then check out McCade Dolan's photography website called, "Cadeography" at his online portfolio. McCade specializes in urban portrait, fantasy, and street life and his photography is full of edginess and colors. Dolan, Seattle native and Hard of Hearing had his first photography exhibit at Hearing, Speech, and Deafness Center (HSDC) in Seattle, WA on July 21. It was a big hit- almost all of his photographs were sold.

I asked McCade to pick a photograph of his and how it represents him as an artist. He picked the photo of "Under The Sea" and explained,

"After a long hard debate searching for that one photo, I believe I found the gem. This photo which I've titled "Under The Sea" showcases my style to the max. While I also love shooting edgier & more urban portraits, I also love capturing people in a world that we can only imagine in our minds, a fantasy world.
Ever since I was a child, I always loved the colors, the vibrancy that cartoons had to offer. Now being 27 years old, shooting fantasy photos, capturing people in their prime and in a form that you don't see every day, causes a rush of nostalgia tracing back to my own childhood. I love being creative, having fun & creating something eye catching, and this photo to me represents that to the fullest".

 Why photography?

"I love just capturing people in their prime. Sort of an artistic way of me to express myself and love making people feel beautiful!"

If you want to get all edgy and bad ass as Cinderella or Peter Pan, contact McCade Dolan through his website or his Facebook Page and book with him for a photo shoot! Not only that he will make you feel beautiful, but he will also make you feel BAD ASS! Congratulations on your first show, McCade! We, Deaf Spotlight, are looking forward to your next show!
